About OUR TEAM

Miguel is a certified Family Nurse Practitioner who completed his Doctorate of Nursing Practice (DNP) at Oregon Health & Science University. Though his main medical focus is primary care, he has done research related to PrEP (Therapy to prevent HIV infections), and is very passionate about this within our community.

He is also credentialed as an HIV Specialist through the American Academy of HIV Medicine, and has experience providing overall care to people living with HIV. Miguel is also very knowledgeable in LGBTQ+ health, and understands the importance of providing safe and affirming care to his patients throughout their journey.

Miguel was born in Ensenada, Mexico, and is a fluent Spanish speaker. This allows him to open up his practice to members of our community that may want a provider that understands their culture, as well as their language.

He has lived in Portland since 2012, and in Oregon since 2001. He enjoys travel, as well as staying home and exploring our beautiful state, and hopes to make it his home for years to come.
