PrEP and doxypep

Prep (Oral and Injectable)

Patients seeking PrEP services have access to comprehensive care, including counseling, HIV and STI screening, and education on PrEP. They can choose between daily oral PrEP or injectable PrEP, like Apretude (cabotegravir). While on PrEP, we offer ongoing support and follow-up testing to ensure the effectiveness of PrEP and address any concerns. These services empower individuals to protect themselves from HIV and reduce its spread in their communities.

Injectable PrEP is administered every 2 months at our clinic, accompanied by necessary lab work, which may include a full STI panel. Many commercial insurance plans cover the cost of injectable PrEP, and we can discuss this during your initial appointment. Please click here for a list of insurances we currently take. In some cases, we may even administer your first injection at that visit if your insurance allows for this. If you're interested in injectable PrEP, please schedule an appointment through the provided link and specify your interest in injectable PrEP. It's important to note that, unfortunately, we cannot offer injectable PrEP for those insured through Medicare or Medicaid (OHP).

DoxyPEP is an additional approach to lowering the risk of STIs in our community. It involves taking an antibiotic (Doxycycline) within 72 hours of potential exposure to an STI (syphilis, chlamydia, and/or  gonorrhea). We can certainly have a discussion to determine if this appropriate for you.
